I was born in 1966 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. As a kid I was a big comics fan, so it lead to a life long obsession.
I attended Sheridan College in 1985-87, for illustraion and animation, and then switched to Mohawk College for Civil Engineering in Hamilton, but struggled due to my vision limitations (I am legally blind.). In the late 80s early 90s I worked at a few different clerical jobs trying to make a living .

In 1983 I made my first small press comic, and began regularly making zines in 1988, starting with the first of 7 Wavemakers anthology, digests, and joined the United Fanzine Organisation. In 1990-91 I published 2 giant, independant comic book Wavemakers anthologies. Shortly after I became UFO chairman for a short stint. I dropped out of small press for a year then came back in 1994 to 96 with Dinky On the Road, OatMeal 1,2, and Dreamtime 1-3. Danish born, Henrik Rehr was writer artist on Dreamtime and writer on Oatmeal as well as cartoonist on the Ferdnand daily strip. I partnered with former Sheridan classmate and Saturday Morning animator Mark Petlock, to help get his Pulp Tatto comic to retailers. In 1997 I published a fat digest called Glass Eye that contained my life story to that point, plus leftover goodies that were sitting around.
In Sept 1997 I began earning my diploma for Software Engineering Techolgist at Mohawk College, and developed skills in programming, systems analysis, databases etc. I now do a little freelance web programming, with PHP , MySql, for such organisations as the St Leonard's Society of Canada, and Glumps.ca.
Now that school is finished I had money again for publishing, and just released GLASS EYE, a new comic book anthologfy that should be in comic stores by Christmas 2005, or now from my site at www.blindbatpress.markinnes.com/glasseye.html . In 2996, WE put out ROMANTIC EYE. a romance anthology for the 21st century. In late Fall 2007, look for THE COMIC EYE, our first trade paperback anthology..
Starting Summer 2003, I beagn working as a background performer in movies and TV shows shot in Ontario.
Highlights of my performing career are working on Blindness, in theatres SEptmber 2008, Cinderella Man, Land Of The Dead, Resident Evil Apokolips, Swarmed (B-movie with Tim Thomerson), Where The Truth Lies, The Sentinal, TV shows like This Is Wonderland, Playmakers, Queer as Folk.
So life is interesting.
